Software Management Policy
Board Policy 7.36 states that each cost center must have a designated administrator responsible to see that the site is in compliance with software copyrights. This policy is not limited to tagged software . All software on each computer in the school needs proof maintained on file that the software is legal.
All old software needs to be "cleaned up". If there is no documentation for the license of software, the school needs to either purchase a license for the software or properly dispose of it through the district's warehouse. Untagged or tagged software is not to be thrown into the trash.
