Our General Education Development (GED) classes, as well as our Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes, are designed to prepare students for success on the GED exam and thus, earn a State of Florida High School diploma.
  • These classes are for students over the age of 16 who left high school before they earned their diploma.
  • Students who need a high school diploma to improve their employment opportunities or to qualify for college benefit from these classes.
  • The teachers must attend specialized training in order to provide a high-quality experience to students at all ability levels.

What will I study in GED Class?

Since the GED exam measures academic skills and knowledge associated with a high school program of study that graduated seniors need to know and be able to do, the GED test battery includes subject area tests in:
  • Reasoning Through Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
