Mission:

The Mission of the Department of Research and Accountability is to enhance the quality of educational decisions by providing Research, Evaluation, Testing, and Accountability Services/Information to all stake holders through an effectively managed system based on the Principles of Continuous Improvement.

Department Information:

Research & Accountability is an administrative department of the Pinellas County Schools system whose purpose is to enhance the quality of educational decisions that affect students. Much of the information comes in the form of reports which are provided to all levels of the district. Bear in mind, not all of the reports and analyses are available to the public. Student safety and privacy are the primary concerns in determining what information may be released.

The department is comprised of the following units: Research & Accountability, Program Evaluation, Testing, Planning and Policy, Student Assignment, and Unitary Status. All professional personnel have advanced training in research, evaluation, and measurement methodology. The department provides services which enhance the quality of educational decisions made throughout the school system.
