School Board Meetings

Most Pinellas County School Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Exceptions are July, August, November and December, when the meeting schedule is modified to accommodate scheduled holidays. Minutes from each meeting are published after they are approved at the following board meeting.

Unless otherwise noted, the FIRST meeting of each month begins at 10 a.m. The SECOND meeting of each month begins at 5 p.m. All meetings are held in the conference hall of the Administration Building at 301 4th Street SW in Largo FL. The public is encouraged to attend.

          There is only one regular meeting date in the months of July, August and December 2009 & April and June 2010.

        The regular November meeting will be held on November 10, at 10:00 a.m.  The November 17 meeting date is an organizational meeting only.

Agenda
The School Board meeting agenda for each regular Board meeting is posted on the district’s website (www.pcsb.org) one week prior to the meeting. Board members welcome questions concerning policies and programs. Anyone in the audience wishing to speak on either agenda or non-agenda items fills out a simple form at or before the meeting, then follows a few basic rules of courtesy and timing. Citizens may speak about any item on the agenda not involving a hearing on employee discipline by registering five minutes before the item is introduced.

Meetings Televised
Click on the green icon “School Board Meetings” in the left navigation menu. On the next page, click on the blue “Live Meeting” button at the top of the page.
 
The board meeting is rebroadcast on WPDS-TV14 Wednesday and Thursday at 6 p.m., Friday at midnight and Saturday at 8 a.m. for two weeks following the meeting date. WPDS-TV14 is located on Bright House Networks Ch. 614, Knology Ch. 2 and Verizon Ch. 46.
