The cash management department maintains a managed investment program ('MIP') to invest the district's temporarily idle funds. The district invests in the following types of securities: the state board of administration's local government surplus funds trust fund investment pool; money market funds that specialize in treasury securities; U.S. Government bonds; and U.S. Agency bonds.
