Voluntary Pre-K is a constitutional amendment passed by Florida’s voters in November 2002 which requires a voluntary prekindergarten program for all four-year-old children by fall 2005. The program is designed to prepare four-year-old children for kindergarten and build the foundations for their educational success. This program is voluntary for children and providers.
Pinellas County Schools participates in the State Voluntary Pre-K program by offering a summer and a school year Blended VPK program. The school year Blended VPK program is limited in enrollment spaces. For locations and further information about the programs, please click on the links below. |
