Not One, But Two State Guidance Counselors of the Year From Pinellas County Schools The Florida School Counselor Association (FSCA) has selected two Pinellas County Schools’ Guidance Counselors as state winners. Toni Hoge, Pasadena Fundamental Elementary, is the recipient of the 2009 FSCA Elementary School Counselor of the Year Award. Sally Centner, Osceola Middle School, was selected as the 2009 FSCA Middle School Counselor of the Year. This is the third consecutive year a Pinellas County Schools’ guidance counselor has been named the FSCA Middle School Counselor of the Year. Both guidance counselors will receive their awards at the association’s annual conference on Friday, Oct. 30 in Orlando. |

| School Counseling Curriculum |

The School Counseling Curriculum consists of developmental experiences presented through individual conferences, classroom presentations, and group activities for students in grades K-12. The purpose is to increase student knowledge and promote positive growth in the areas of academics, career, and personal/social development. The curriculum reflects the mission and philosophy of the school district and is aligned with the American School Counselor Association National Standards. |
