Homeless Education Assistance Team's Services
The Homeless Education Assistance Team (H.E.A.T.)
of Pinellas County Schools provides educational and social work
services to homeless children and families. Below is contact information

Lorraine provides technical assistance to LEAs in coordination with the
local liaison to ensure that LEAs comply with the requirements of the

Louisa James - Middle School Academic
Coach
Louisa collaborates with identified high need middle schools to provide
support to homeless students with academic, attendance and behavioral
goals. Students are monitored regularly.

Karen Leggett - Secretary
Karen provides the clerical support for the Homeless Education
Assistance Team. This person does the payroll and purchasing, creates
brochures, and answers and routes phone calls. The secretary also
distributes our quarterly
FTE survey and tabulates the data

Michelle provides support to the other Homeless staff by
creating purchase orders, designing brochures, forms and creates,
designs and maintains the Homeless website.
