Wellness Tip of the Month: Find ways to pack more fruits into your diet everyday! Make fruit readily available to home and work. Add fresh fruit to cereal and yogurt. Make a fruit smoothie with fresh or frozen fruit, low-fat milk and yogurt. Snack on dried fruit. Included fruit like apples, pears, or strawberries in salads or make colorful fruit kabobs. Have a fruit salad for dessert. Seek out and try exotic fruits.
If you want a fruit juice, make sure it is labeled “100% fruit juice”. Don’t be fooled by juices that claim “contains real fruit juice”.
