We are responsible for managing all major fixed capital outlay projects for construction, remodeling and renovation of educational and support facilities. The department is an active participant from the time of need assessment through post-occupancy of the facilities. The construction coordinator selects private architects and engineers for each project. The architects and engineers prepare documents that meet the applicable codes and program requirements.
The projects are then contracted to Construction Management firms and built with our involvement and supervision. Our construction inspectors perform inspections throughout the construction phase along with monitoring all aspects of construction including payments, contract administration, etc.
