Sponsored by Catalina Marketing, Tampa Bay Technology Alliance and the YES-SECME Program of Pinellas County Schools, the Youth Robotics Workshop is meant to educate representatives of nonprofit, governmental and educational organizations how to incorporate robotics as a way of engaging the young people of their programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
During the workshop, participants will receive information about how to get involved with the national FIRST robotics competitions for elementary and secondary students. Teams and coaches will share their experiences, offer student demonstrations, provide information about upcoming events and summer robotics camps, and inform participants about networking opportunities with local engineers, companies and teachers.
Anyone interested in finding out how to get involved with FIRST robotics for students 6 to 18 years old is invited to attend this free event.
