3.01 Organization Of Pinellas County Schools
3.01 ORGANIZATION OF PINELLAS COUNTY SCHOOLS
(1) The School Board shall approve the job title, the minimum qualifications, and the pay level/grade for each position or class of positions.
(2) The Superintendent shall:
(a) Serve as chief executive officer to the Board and act as administrative head of the school district.
(b) Have the authority to organize and arrange the administrative and supervisory staff and shall have the authority to organize and arrange the instructional and business affairs of the school district which, in her or his judgment, best serves the needs of the school district subject to state laws, the regulations of the State Board of Education, and the rules, regulations and policies of the Board.
(c) Be responsible for the selection, placement, and transfer of personnel subject to state law and approval of the Board.
(d) Develop job descriptions and duties/responsibilities for each position or class of positions;
(e) Maintain a manual which contains job responsibilities and minimal qualifications for each position or class of positions in the district. The Pinellas County School Board Job Description Manual dated June 30, 1998 is hereby incorporated as a rule.
(f) Develop and maintain an organizational chart for the district. The Pinellas County Schools 1997/1998 Administrative and Professional/ Technical/Supervisory Organization Chart dated July 1, 1997 is hereby incorporated as a rule with the exception of the names of the individuals in the positions which can be changed without being deemed a change in the organizational chart.
(3) Instructional personnel shall comply with duties specified in Section 231.09, Florida Statutes, and School Board Rules.
