Bullying Prevention
The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a
research based program designed to reduce and prevent bully/victim problems at school. The program is not a curriculum. It is a school wide program with interventions at several levels:
School-Wide Action
Classroom Level Activity
Individual Interventions
Community Involvement
As a result of the program schools have reported:
Substantial reductions in self reports of bullying and victimization
Reductions in self reports of antisocial behaviors such as truancy, vandalism, fighting and theft
Significant improvements in the social climate of the school
