PTC photography student wins at competition
Pinellas Technical College commercial photography student, Lisa O’Geary, received several awards at the Tampa Area Professional Association’s Image Salon Competition on June 16.
O’Geary received four Merit Awards, Second and Third Place in the Portrait Category, and Third Place in the Unclassified Category. Her photography instructor, Michael Landes, received two Merit Awards and First Place in the Commercial Category.
Landes said that O’Geary’s recent awards were particularly gratifying because she has been studying at Pinellas Technical College for 18 months and she is already competing at a professional level.
“It gives me great pleasure when my own student beats me at my own game,” said Landes.
