Four Pinellas County Schools Win Top Istation Award
March 23, 2017
Four of Pinellas County’s elementary schools were recognized as being top users of the Istation in a statewide competition.
Bear Creek Elementary School took home first place for Istation usage, while 74th Street Elementary School ranked No. 2 in the Florida Istation Awards. Third and fourth place was awarded to High Point Elementary School and Kings Highway Elementary Magnet School. Awards were determined by the average total number of minutes students spent on Istation from Nov. 28, 2016 to Jan. 31, 2017.
All four schools utilize Istation to assess and teach reading to students through individualized interactive lessons and comprehension checks. The data obtained from assessments allow teachers to stage interventions and provide further enrichment to students.
