Title I Technical Compliance
An amount
equal to 20% of a district’s Title I funds must be used for schools identified as
“improvement” schools. These funds would be spent as follows.
-At least 5% of the district’s Title I allocation must pay for
transportation and other costs associated with providing public school
choice for students to attend a higher performing school.
.-An amount up to 10% of the
district’s Title I allocation must be used for either choice or supplemental
services, if needed to meet demand. These funds may come from sources other
than Title I funds.
