Project managers are asked to review the grant application budget narrative
and compare to funded amount. Determine if the funded grant includes personnel
positions (including support, instructional, administrative and/or contracted
services); which are not currently filled. If so, contact the director of special
projects and the personnel department for assistance. As with all school district
positions, all School Board policies must be followed when hiring personnel
for any special project. The personnel department will assist in identifying
existing job descriptions, posting positions, arranging interviews, selecting
personnel and, ultimately, hiring the selected individual(s). The special projects
office will provide assistance in this process, help with the development of
new job descriptions and provide TERMS cost strip information. After the personnel
selection process is complete, the project manager must:

Complete
this
form,
sign it,
and code
it with
the
correct
cost
strip
information.

account
clerk.)
The
completed
"Personnel
Action
Form"
must be
signed
by the
appropriate
supervisor/principal/or
division
head.

Forward
the
approved
"Personnel
Action
Form" to
the
personnel
department.
This
process
assures
that new
personnel
are
assigned
to the
correct
cost
center
and that
salaries
are paid
out of
the
appropriate
grant
fund.
