DEFINITION: A stipend is payment to School Board personnel who are officially requested to participate in in-service education components or in professional workshops that meet outside of normal duty hours.

NOTE: School Board personnel may be paid the training stipend of ten dollars ($10) per hour, not to exceed sixty dollars ($60) per day.

GENERAL STEPS:

• Upon completion of the workshop, the school or department completes a Salary Adjustment Form (PCS 3-2640) including the project to be charged.

• The project manager signs the form and submits it to the special projects office.

• Special projects approves the stipend form and forwards it to payroll for processing.
