Charlie Eubanks is the director of the special projects office. He joined the
office in the fall of 1998
and has experience as an elementary school teacher,
principal and assistant principal. He spent a year
at the Florida Department
of Education as principal-in-residence assisting with leadership development
and training and four years as the administrator of the Professional Education
Center (Pro Ed). His
primary responsibility as director is to ensure that the
resources of the special projects office are
committed to the district strategic
directions by:
seeking out, acquiring, and administering external funding;
providing leadership to grant-funded projects; and
maintaining fiscal integrity and accountability for project funds.
Ruth
Burton joined the Special Projects Office as Senior Account Clerk in April
2007. Prior to that time, Ruth worked in the district's Accounting
Department for six years as Accounts Payable Clerk for Food Service and General
Accounting. She began her employment with Pinellas County Schools at FrontierElementary School where she worked for 5 ½
years as an office assistant. As Senior Account Clerk, Ruth has
responsibility for projects with annual budgets of approximately $30 million.
She supports project managers to establish budgets, track project expenditures,
work with budget and travel requests and approve expenditures in TERMS.
Ruth works with a variety of projects including career and technical
education and workforce development grants & contracts.
Farris
Rees
joined
the
Special
Projects
Office
in April
2001.
An
employee
of PCSB
since
1993,
her
prior
experiences
include
working
with
ELKE at
WPSC;
working
at the
Largo
administration
building
as an
account
clerk in
Extracurricular
Student
Activities
and in
the
Accounting
department
working
with
Title I
and
Cafeteria
Finance.
As
Senior
Account
Clerk in
Special
Projects,
Farris
has
responsibility
for
projects
with
annual
budgets
of
approximately
$30
million.
She
supports
project
managers
to
establish
budgets,
track
project
expenditures,
work
with
budget
and
travel
requests
and
approve
expenditures
in
TERMS.
Farris
works
with a
variety
of
projects
including
Title II
Parts A
and D,
Title V,
Advanced
Placement
Incentive
Program
grant,
FIN,
FDLRS,
Title X,
Foreign
Language
Assistance
Program
grant,
Teaching
American
History
grant,
IDEA,
Arts
Council
grants,
and all
teacher
classroom
grants
awarded
through
the
Pinellas
Education
Foundation.
