Browers
Kathy Browers, Coordinator
Procedures for Countywide Programs

What is an academy?

Career Academies are four year programs designed to blend a student's required academic courses with the career technical program of the academy. Career Academy programs prepare students for:

    - National/industry certifications
    - PTEC, two year college, or university
    - Entry into their chosen career
    - Bright Futures/Gold Seal scholarships.
There is no minimum GPA required for admission to a Career Academy; however a student's discipline record must not reflect any serious misconduct. Students enrolled in an academy must maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain in the academy.
