Walsingham Elementary is proud to offer our scholars additional enrichment, learning, and fun through the STEM Explorer's Program. Working in partnership with Pinellas County Schools, STEM club is an opportunity for the students of today to grow into the scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians of tomorrow. The STEM Explorer's Program believes in equitable exposure to the world of science, and therefore, club membership is offered to all of our 5th graders. Meeting activities include experiments, engineering design challenges, reviewing games, reading science literature, and even CSI-style mysteries!
"We look at science as something very elite, which only a few people can learn. That’s just not true. You just have start early and give kids a foundation. Kids live up, or down, to expectations." - Dr. Mae Jemison
