Dress Code

  • DRESS CODE
    Modified Mandatory Student Dress Code Effective 2022-2023

    This Modified Mandatory Student Dress Code will be enforced along with school board policy in regards to student dress.

     SHIRTS
    All shirts must be solid in color, with No Logo or Design other than the Dunedin Elementary logo and may be short or long sleeve.

                Color:  navy blue, light blue, red, white, and black.

                Style:   polo, crew neck T-shirt, or school approved Dunedin Elementary T-Shirt.

     PANTS/SHORTS/SKIRTS/SKORTS/JUMPERS

      Color:  SOLID navy blue, khaki, or black.

       PLAID blue, black, white, and red ONLY.

     FOOTWEAR
    Safe and appropriate footwear must be worn. 

    Sneakers or closed-toed shoes must be worn in PE.

               OUTERWEAR

                  Indoor clothing:   sweatshirts and sweaters in solid navy blue, light blue,

         or white.  No Logos or Designs.

                Outdoor clothing:  coats & jackets in any color.  No Logos or Designs.

    Please refer to the dress code section in the Code of Student Conduct.

     BELTS
    Belts may be required when wearing shorts or pants with belt loops to keep the pants at the waist.

     OTHER
    Tights or leggings under shorts, skorts, skirts, or jumpers are NOT allowed.

                Color:  Only navy blue, white, or black.

    Appropriate jeans for school (plain, solid in color, free from holes and frays) may be worn on cold days.

     EXCEPTIONS
    Fifth grade celebration, picture days, Student Council theme days, and other approved designated days.  On approved designated days, attire must be in accordance with the district dress code policy.  Field days are not an exception; students must still wear the school dress code.
