What is the Salvation Army?
The Salvation Army is an adult residential rehabilitation center that houses 120 men who are recovering from alcohol and/or drug addiction. The facility offers the residents work adjustment services through the sorting and pricing of donations, which are sold through the Salvation Army Family Store. The Salvation Army has partnered with Dixie Hollins Adult Education Center to provide both a classroom and computer lab for GED students.
Who can attend classes?
Classes are open to anyone 16 and older not currently enrolled in Pinellas County Public Schools. Classes are open to the public as well as the residents of the program.
Day Classes: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Night Classes: Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m*Tuition fees apply.
