WHO we are

Visual art students are united by their love of creating art in all mediums.  Students spend half of their classes with other like-minded young artists who are drawn together by their passion.  Dedicated faculty work with each individual student to help them on their journey of self-discovery to find their artistic voice.

WHAT we do

Intensive courses in 2D and 3D studio art (including Advanced Placement), drawing, painting, digital art, printmaking, and craft, allow students to explore their talents and refine their skills.  Opportunities to showcase their art both on campus and in the art community bring pride and accomplishment to each student.  PCCA artists are frequently the top award-winners in local, regional, and national competitions, and our faculty coach them to submit their best work.

WHERE do you go next

The art faculty prepare students to be competitive in auditions and for scholarships to major conservatories, colleges, and universities.  While the department prepares students to pursue these opportunities, some students use the skills they have learned in the arts to seek college and university admission in fields outside of the arts.  Colleges seek out students with arts backgrounds for admission in all fields of study. 

Art graduates from PCCA have their work on display worldwide in galleries and are sought after for commissions in all mediums.
