Meadowlawn Families, this is Ursula Parris, Principal with our September 30th Weekly Updates

    Department Updates

Language Arts and Reading:   Ask your scholars about what they are reading and writing in class? You should see samples of writing in response to text in their notebooks. If you child is assigned to a TBA teacher, we are working to update grades and to assign a full-time teacher to these class right away. Remind your scholar to complete all tasks to ensure success.

Physical Education and Health:  The scholars have had a great start to the year coming dressed to participate.  Please remind them to dress accordingly with the changing weather seasons.  Volleyball season is halfway over which means basketball tryouts are quickly approaching.  If your scholar thinks they want to tryout please make sure they have the athletic packet completely filled out with a physical and school insurance purchased prior to the first tryout day.  They can pick up a packet in the 7th grade office or see Coach Wood.

Exceptional Education ( Including Gifted Studies) Your children are receiving differentiated instruction daily. Ask your child about their Co-Teacher and how they support their success in class. Gifted parents, please reach out to Ms. Trivison for strategies to utilize at home in support of your scholar’s academic needs.

    Upcoming Events:

Tutoring will begin at 8:15 AM Monday-Friday. Please drop off scholars promptly at 8:15 in the front of the school so they can be escorted to the tutoring location. Afternoon tutoring begins at 4:15 and ends at 5:15, Monday - Thursday. Please refrain from picking up your scholar before or after 5:15.
    Additional Annuncements:
