    Personalized Learning

Lealman Innovation Academy tailors what, when, where and how students learn to their individual needs, skills and interests. The school enables students to take ownership of their learning and helps them develop deep connections with each other, their teachers and other adults.

    New Tech Network

Lealman Innovation Academy is partnering with New Tech Network, a national nonprofit that helps districts develop innovative schools. New Tech schools meet or exceed state standards and have an intense focus on developing students’ 21st century skills like oral and written communication, critical thinking, work ethic, collaboration, problem solving, creativity and presentation skills. Instead of going from math to English to science class— with none of them relating to one another — New Tech classes integrate subjects into a singular, learning experience.

    Project-Based Learning

Students collaborate on meaningful projects that require critical thinking, creativity, and communication. Students are assessed not only on their understanding of academic content but also on their ability to apply the content in solving problems.
