Supporting Service Equalized Pay Calculations

Pinellas County Schools utilizes an equlzed pay system for all full-time employees. Equalized pay means that pay is spread out evenly so that employees receive the same paychecks throughout their contract year to include the four weeks of breaks when there are no actual hours worked. Without equalized pay, employees would not receive full paychecks during the week of Thanksgiving, the two weeks of winter break, or the week of spring break. Payroll staff calendars for each employee type are posted at the following link. Payroll Calendars PLEASE NOTE: The formulas below only work for employees who start on the first work day of each school year. Late starters may have their biweekly gross period pay calculated differently.

To calculate your estimated biweekly gross pay and equalzed rate of pay that will appear on your paychecks, enter your hours per day, base hourly rate and appropriate contract days and checks paid from the list below without commas and then click the calculate button. For example, the default figures are for a bus driver working 8.00 hours per day with a base hourly rate of $20.0000 for 194 contract days that will be paid 21.5 paychecks in the 2025-26 school year.
