Empowering young women to be tomorrow's leaders

The Girlfriends of Pinellas County is a group mentoring program for girls in grades 4-12.  Designed to cultivate young leaders in a supportive community, this program focuses on developing strong character through service, building accountability and ownership of choices through mentoring, and elevating the futures of participants through goal setting and support. 

The Girlfriends of Pinellas County is part of Pinellas County School's Future Leaders Collaborative.  This program connects Girlfriends with the Brotherhood of Strength & Purpose through a shared vision of resilient leaders who demonstrate accountability, live responsibly, and exemplify integrity in every action, decision, and relationship.

The Role of a Girlfriends Mentor

Mentors can be involved in Girfriends in a number of ways.

• Advisor - leads the club, planning all meetings, events, & activities
• Volunteer - assists the advisor as needed
• Guest Speaker - shares key experiences with mentees
• Field Trip Chaperone - ensures safety of mentees on trips to college campuses, community events, and more
