2026 Outstanding School Volunteers

2026 Outstanding School Volunteers

Pinellas County Schools honored volunteers at the annual Outstanding Volunteer Recognition Breakfast.

The event recognized incredible individuals who give their time, energy and compassion to support students and staff across the district. Top awards went to:

  • Youth Award winner Emma Reveron, who volunteers at Tarpon Springs Elementary School
  • Adult Award winner Nicole Halstead, who volunteers at Mangrove Bay Middle School
  • Senior Award winner Cindy Peacock, who volunteers at Palm Harbor Middle School

The awards ceremony, sponsored by Achieva Credit Union, was held at the Feather Sound Country Club on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Pinellas County Schools recognized 17 outstanding school volunteer finalists, chosen from over 120 nominees across the district. This school year, more than 22,000 volunteers have contributed more than 115,000 hours of their time, talent and care.

Erin Murray, a reporter and anchor for Spectrum Bay News 9, hosted the event. The top award winners will represent the district in the state's Outstanding School Volunteer competition.

2025 Outstanding School Volunteers

Celebrating our 2025 Outstanding School Volunteers

Every day, students across Pinellas County thrive thanks to the dedication of volunteers who bring learning to life. This year, we proudly recognized 75 outstanding volunteer nominees from schools across the district—each one making a lasting difference.

At the 2025 Outstanding School Volunteer Breakfast, held February 28 at Feather Sound Country Club, we celebrated these inspiring individuals. The event featured performances by the Seminole High School Orchestra Quintet, as well as remarks from Superintendent Kevin Hendrick, School Board Chair Laura Hine, and Spectrum Bay News 9's Erin Murray.  This event is sponsored by Achieva Credit Union.
