Ridership Form FAQs

Each year the PCS Transportation Department is asking families if their students need utilize transportation services. By asking families to make a selection we can streamline the routing process and create more efficient routes.

Families can indicate their transportation needs by logging in to their parent account in FOCUS at https://focus.pcsb.org/focus/index.php. After logging in, you will be immediately prompted to complete the transportation ridership form. A separate form is needed for each of your students.

If your parent account has not been set up, or if you have not logged in for 12 or more months, you will need to create a new parent portal account. Visit https://www.pcsb.org/focusinfo for step-by-step instructions on how to create your account. If you need to reset your password, you can do so by following the instructions at https://www.pcsb.org/focusinfo. If you need further assistance, please contact your student’s school and speak to the Data Management Technician (DMT).

If your parent account is not linked in FOCUS, you will not be able to make your transportation declaration. Please follow the instructions for linking your student’s account at https://www.pcsb.org/focusinfo. If you need further assistance, please contact your student’s school and ask for the Data Management Technician (DMT) to link your account to your student(s).

*Please note that the form will only appear for students enrolled in Pinellas County public schools. Charter and private school students will not be prompted to complete the form. 

There are multiple factors that determine whether a student is eligible for transportation, including IEPs, magnet program participation, home address distance from your zoned school. FOCUS will automatically prompt you to complete the appropriate form based on your student’s eligibility status.

If FOCUS states that your student is ineligible for transportation and you believe this is an error, please contact Transportation Department call center to request verification. The call center will open a case and review your student’s eligibility

If a usable stop already exists, your student will be able to get transportation immediately. If a stop needs to be created, it can take up to 7 days processing time before a student can ride. Please note that parents are responsible for the safe transportation of their student to and from school until the new stop information has been communicated to them.

Parents can request a bus at any time by contacting the Data Management Technician (DMT) at their student’s school or by contacting the Transportation Department call center. 

Departamento de Transporte de PCS pregunta cada año a las familias si sus estudiantes necesitan utilizar servicios de transportación. Al pedirles a las familias que hagan una selección, podemos agilizar el proceso de itinerarios y crear rutas más eficientes.

Las familias pueden indicar sus necesidades de transporte iniciando sesión en la cuenta de padres en FOCUS a través de este enlace https://focus.pcsb.org/focus/index.php. Después de iniciar sesión, Se le pedirá inmediatamente que complete el formulario de transporte de pasajeros.  Necesita llenar un formulario separado para cada uno de sus estudiantes.

Si su cuenta para padres no se ha configurado, o si no ha iniciado sesión durante 12 meses o más, tendrá crear una nueva cuenta en el portal para padres. Visite  https://www.pcsb.org/focusinfo para obtener instrucciones paso a paso sobre cómo crear su cuenta. Si necesita restablecer su contraseña, puede hacerlo siguiendo las instrucciones en  https://www.pcsb.org/focusinfo . Si necesita más ayuda, comuníquese con la escuela de su estudiante y hable con el técnico de administración de datos (DMT).

Si su cuenta de padre no está vinculada en FOCUS, no podrá hacer su declaración de transporte. Siga las instrucciones para vincular la cuenta de su estudiante a través de https://www.pcsb.org/focusinfo.

Si necesita más ayuda, comuníquese con la escuela de su estudiante y solicite al técnico de administración de datos (DMT) que vincule su cuenta con su(s) estudiante(s).

Existen múltiples factores que determinan si un estudiante es elegible para el transporte, incluidos los IEP, la participación en el programa magnet, la distancia de su domicilio desde su escuela de la zona. FOCUS le pedirá automáticamente que complete el formulario apropiado según el estado de elegibilidad de su estudiante.

Si FOCUS declara que su estudiante no es elegible para el transporte y usted cree que esto es un error, por favor comuníquese al centro de llamadas del Departamento de Transporte y pida una verificació. El Centro de llamadas abrirá un caso y eevisará la elegibilidad de su estudiante.

Si ya existe una parada establecida, su estudiante podrá obtener transporte de inmediato. Si es necesario crear una parada, puede tomar hasta 7 días el proceso antes de que un estudiante pueda viajar en autobús. Tenga en cuenta que los padres son responsables por la transportación segura de sus estudiantes hacia y desde la escuela hasta que se les haya comunicado sobre la nueva parada.

Los padres pueden solicitar un autobús en cualquier momento comunicándose con el Técnico de Gestión de Datos (DMT) de la escuela de su hijo o comunicándose con el centro de llamadas del Departamento de Transporte.
