Prepare your child for maximum success

The Summer Bridge Elementary School Program is open to all public school students entering kindergarten through fifth grade. The face-to-face program engages children in weekly themed lessons and virtual field trips, while building math, science and language arts skills. Most of all, Summer Bridge is designed to be fun for students!

Rising Kindergarten - For children entering kindergarten in August: Children will sing, play and dance the day away, while they develop literacy skills and prepare for kindergarten success!

Current K-4 (Children entering grades 1-5): Weekly themes, which vary by grade level, include space, oceans, insects, rainbows, animals, sports and amusement parks. Summer Bridge is especially important for students who are performing below grade level in reading or math or who need additional help to stay on track. Current fifth-graders will be assigned to Summer Bridge schools based on their assigned middle schools.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be served each day. Most sites will offer free meals. At the following locations, charges will vary depending on free-reduced and paid lunch status: TBD

  • If children can be accommodated at an existing bus stop, they will have transportation on Day 1.
  • If a new stop needs to be created, transportation will be provided, but it may not be available until a few days after Summer Bridge begins.
  • Schools that are 100 percent District Application Programs will have limited transportation areas of 2-4 miles from the schools.
