We know the best learning environment for your child is face-to-face, in person learning. We can all agree, there is no replacement for in-the-moment teacher feedback, which is provided throughout the day in each classroom by our expert teachers. Safety Harbor Elementary continues to take mitigation steps at school seriously, as safety of our students and staff is the priority. Hand sanitizer, hand washing, masks and social distancing, to the greatest extent possible, continue to be implemented. With second semester approaching, only 13% of our students remain online! At this time, parents may request a Change in Learning Option from My PCS Online to Traditional and return to their currently assigned classroom teacher following the winter break.
Parents should be aware, however, that aside from a quarantine situation, permanently changing learning options from Traditional to My PCS Online or remaining on My PCS Online after the end of the first semester (January 19th), may result in a change of teachers due to the limited number of students in the virtual setting.
To submit a request to Change a Learning Option:
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 727-724-1462 and speak to Ms. Palmer, Principal
- Include “Learning Option Change” in the subject of your e-mail
- In the body of the e-mail, please include your child’s full legal name, grade and best phone number to contact you if more information is needed
We will respond to your request with information on when the change will take place and any important information to make the Learning Option Change successful for your child.
