Directions and Parking for PCS Graduations

The BayCare Sound is located at 255 Drew St, Clearwater, FL 33755 in Downtown Clearwater's newly reimagined Coachman Park.

Public parking is available throughout the downtown district, including the Coachman Park & Harbor Marina Parking (Lot 11 is located at 224 Pierce Street, Clearwater, 33755), the Garden Ave. Parking Garage (located at 28 N. Garden Ave., Clearwater, 33755), and the Station Square Parking Garage (located at 615 Laura Street, Clearwater, 33755).

• Handicapped parking is available to cars that have a handicap placard or license plate sticker visible to officers or personnel who will be monitoring handicap parking access.

• Due to construction, parking at the City Hall lot and the grass lot at Osceola Ave. & Pierce St. is unavailable.

PCS School buses will continuously run the shuttle system depicted in the shuttle map. Pickup points are near the MSB Garage, Station Square Garage, and Garden Ave. Garage.

Standard Rates for parking apply during all ceremonies at all designated parking areas

Guest Entry
Guests attending a graduation will enter through South Gate 1 or South Gate 2 located inside Coachman Park.

• Strollers and flowers are permitted into the venue. Balloons are not allowed.

Information about Severe Weather Plans for PCS Graduation Ceremonies at the BayCare Sound

 

In case of rainy weather without lightning, graduation ceremonies will proceed on time as scheduled.

 

In case of rainy weather with lightning, the start of a graduation ceremony may be delayed for a period up to 30 minutes. If the lightning delay is not sufficient enough to proceed with the start of a graduation ceremony, the ceremony will be postponed until a later designated time. The Principal of a school whose ceremony has been delayed will communicate the designated time with parents and graduates through email and on the school’s webpage and social media accounts.

• NOTE: If the start of a school’s ceremony is delayed, changes to the ceremony program may be required, including changes that impact the delivery of speeches (by school personnel or students) or other program features that do not impact the reading of graduate names or the receipt of diplomas. 

In case of a severe weather event at the BayCare Sound, the Security Manager, Operation Manager and City representatives (Parks & Recreation, Police and Fire Department) will continually monitor weather conditions for potentially strong winds, hail, lightning and tornadoes using various resources and determine what if any precautionary actions should be taken as per the Standard Operating Procedures established for this venue (as outlined in the BayCare Sound Severe Weather Plan).
