Summer Bridge Registration

 

For eligible and targeted early education and elementary students:
Steps to Register in the Focus Parent Portal

1. Sign in to your Focus Parent Portal account.
2. Look to the left‑side menu.
3. Select “Student Reservation System.”
4. Choose “Summer Bridge Registration for Eligible and Targeted Students.”
5. Enter your child’s information using either:

      • Student ID number (found on the report card), or
      • Name and date of birth.
6. Verify your child’s name, then click Continue.
7. Select the Summer Bridge site and indicate whether you need transportation or before/after care.
8. Provide your phone number and email address.
9. Click Submit.

A separate link will be provided for registering for before‑ or after‑school care.

If you would like to enroll a sibling of an eligible student in grades K-4, please contact your child’s school.

 


 

 
During your summer planning, please note that there are Summer Bridge eligibility requirements:
 

Summer Bridge Elementary School Programs are only for students who have shown a demonstrated need for extra support in reading based on state reading criteria. Siblings of eligible Elementary Summer Bridge students who are in grades K-4 may also enroll.

Schools will communicate with the parents of eligible students to inform them about Summer Bridge programs.

Dates: June 1 - 25
Eligible Students: Students entering kindergarten through fourth grade
Days: Monday - Thursday 
Hours: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
 

Summer Bridge Elementary Locations: Anona, Bay Point, Bear Creek, Belcher, Blanton, Campbell Park, Dunedin, Eisenhower, Fairmount Park, Frontier, Fuguitt, Garrison Jones, Gulfport, High Point, Jamerson, Lakewood, Lealman Ave., Maximo, Melrose, Midtown Academy, New Heights, North Shore, Oldsmar, Pinellas Park, Ridgecrest, Safety Harbor, Sandy Lane, Sawgrass, Seminole, Seventy-Fourth St., Skycrest, Skyview, Starkey, Tarpon Springs and Westgate.

Summer Bridge assignments are made to your child’s current or designated school. 

 

Prepare your child for maximum success

Rising Kindergarten - For children entering kindergarten in August: Children will sing, play, and dance the day away while developing literacy skills and preparing for kindergarten success!  Please note: Rising Kindergarten does not have eligibility requirements. 
 
Qualifying and Current K-4 (Children entering grades 1-5): Weekly themes, which vary by grade level, include space, oceans, insects, rainbows, animals, sports and amusement parks. 
 
Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be served each day. Most sites will offer free meals.

Transportation is available for eligible students

In accordance with School Board policy, transportation is provided for eligible elementary students attending their zoned school or a designated feeder school if students live more than two miles from the school. The school district may need to create new bus stops to accommodate students who enroll after May 1. 
  • If children can be accommodated at an existing bus stop, they will have transportation on Day 1.
  • If a new stop needs to be created, transportation will be provided, but it may not be available until a few days after Summer Bridge begins. 
  • Schools that are 100 percent District Application Programs will have limited transportation areas of 2-4 miles from the schools.

 

Summer Bridge Childcare Options

Before and After Childcare: Childcare is available before and after Elementary School Summer Bridge. Parents interested in childcare programs should contact the YMCA or R’Club to register.

Reading BINGO 
Click on the Library Media BINGO Card for either Informational or Literary texts. Complete the activities, then submit the Form linked on the card to finish your BINGO challenge.
Please submit the Bingo Form between May 30 - August 10.

Important: Continue Learning with myON This Summer

Students at your school have four pre-assigned, grade-level myON assignments already available in their myON accounts. These assignments include reading, recording themselves reading, oral fluency, oral response, graphic organizers, and writing.

  • Encourage students to complete these assignments throughout the summer to support continued learning and engagement.
  • Students access myON through Clever – click here for login instructions.
