STEM - Middle School Innovation Camp

Middle school science project.

Ready to invent something amazing? Join us for a hands‑on week of creativity, problem‑solving, and innovation! Students will explore why inventions matter, look at everyday objects in exciting new ways, and design solutions to real‑world problems. Through brainstorming, building, and STEM‑powered experimentation, campers will create their own invention prototype to showcase at the end of camp.  Curious minds welcome.  Imagine the future with us!

Program Dates and Location: 

  • July 20 - 23 at Carwise Middle
  • July 20 - 23 at Largo Middle
  • July 20 - 23 at Thurgood Marshall Middle

Program Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Grade Levels: Students entering 6th - 7th grade

Cost: Camps will have a cost of $100 per session and a rate of $25 per session for students eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

The Summer Camp Application period ended on March 8, 2026.

A second application period may open later in the spring if some camps are not full.

  • Applications are not "first come, first served." Families can apply anytime during the two-week window.

Acceptance and Payment:

  • Check your child’s camp acceptance status by logging into the Student Reservation System from Tuesday, March 31, 2026 to Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
  • Once you accept a camp seat, you will be prompted to pay the registration fee ($100 per camp or $25 per camp for students eligible for free and reduced lunch). Payment will confirm your student’s enrollment in selected camps.
  • Seats in some camps are limited. Thank you for understanding if you do not receive an invite. The district continues to offer more camps each summer to accommodate as many families as possible.

Note:  These enrichment camps are separate from the annual Summer Bridge program. Summer Bridge registration opens after Spring Break through a similar process.
