Dress Code

  • Pinellas Park Elementary School Modified Dress Code for the 2018 – 2019 School Year

    All stakeholders will work together in a cooperative partnership which will enable our students to become contributing citizens and life -long learners. Together we will provide a balanced curriculum which is driven by data and based on individual student needs.

     

    SHIRTS

    Shirts must be a shade of red (red/burgundy), blue (navy/royal/light) or gray polo-style, solid color, short or long sleeves. No logo is permitted on the polo shirt.

     

    Shirts with buttons down the middle must be a shade of red (red/burgundy), blue (navy/royal/light) or gray, solid color, short or long sleeves. No logo is permitted on the button down shirt.

     

    T-shirts must be a solid shade of red (red/burgundy), blue (navy/royal/light) or gray short or long sleeves. No logo is permitted on the solid color T-shirt.

     

    A PPE school spirit shirt may be worn any day of the week. However, Friday is designated as school spirit day and all students are encouraged to wear a PPE shirt.

     

    SHORTS

    Shorts must be at least fingertip length or longer when your arms are down at your side and solid navy/dark blue (no denim) or khaki.  Shorts must be worn at waist.  Shorts may be bermuda shorts, walking shorts or cargo. No logos, rips, patches, insignia are permitted on shorts.  No athletic shorts or shorts with an elastic waist or drawstring shorts are permitted.

     

    PANTS/CAPRIS

    Pants must be solid color, cotton, (cargo, khaki-style, chino pants, etc. but no denim/blue jeans) navy/dark blue or khaki (no logos, holes, rips, tear, patches or insignia of any kind). No jeggings, leggings, joggers, athletic or sweat pants of any kind or drawstring pants are permitted. Elastic waist is permissible if it is an adjustable waist band.

     

    SKIRTS

    Skirts must be at least fingertip length or longer in navy/dark blue (no denim) or khaki.  No logos, holes, rips, tears, patches or insignia of any kind are permitted on skirts.

     

    DRESSES

    Dresses must be at least fingertip length or longer when arms are down by your side in solid navy/dark blue (no denim) or khaki. No logos, holes, rips, tears, patches or insignia of any kind are permitted on dresses.  Dresses must be crew neck, polo dresses or jumpers.

     

    FOOTWEAR

    The recommended shoe is a closed toe shoe. We recommend tennis shoes or sneakers.  Shoes must have a heel strap or closed back. No flip flops, sliders, or sandals without back straps are allowed. Shoes meeting PE requirements must still be worn during PE on PE designated days.

     

    OUTERWEAR

    Zippered or buttoned outerwear is acceptable.  If the zippered or buttoned outerwear is not solid red (red/burgundy), blue (navy/royal/light) or gray, then the dress code shirt must be visible when the jacket is open.   Sweaters or sweatshirts must be red (red/burgundy), blue (navy/royal/light) or gray in color; they may be crew neck, pullover or cardigan-style. Pull-over or zippered hoodies that are solid red (red/burgundy), blue (navy/royal/light) or gray are permissible, however the hoodie must not be up while in class.
