Congratulations to Certificate of Distinction Award Winners
Pinellas County Schools honored 141 support employees at the district's annual Certificate of Distinction Award Ceremony and breakfast Wednesday at Banquet Masters in Clearwater. Five Pinellas Technical College and Adult Education support employees received honors at the event including, Katrina Lockwood, Malinda Newton, Joanne Gauzens, Stacey Ann Milford and Jane Huber.

Adult Education Students Celebrate Commencement
Two hundred and four students from district high schools, six adult education schools and two Pinellas Technical Colleges celebrated their commencement at Countywide Graduation on Thursday evening, September 15th, at the Pasadena Community Church. Some 1,500 family members, friends and faculty in the audience cheered, as graduates dressed in caps and gowns accepted their diploma, embarking on a promising new journey.

Culinary Students Win Cash and Honors at Sonny's 2nd Annual BBQ Competition
Students at the Jacobson Culinary Arts Academy (JCAA), at Tarpon Springs High School, competed in the 2nd annual Sonny’s BBQ sauce competition. Fourteen teams, comprised of three Jacobson Culinary Arts students, each prepared BBQ recipes from scratch.

Pinellas County Schools Countywide Graduation was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Pasadena Community Church. Nearly 110 students received a GED or high school diploma. Pinellas County School Board Member Rene Flowers gave the keynote address to graduates.

10th Annual Evening With The Chefs A Success
On Saturday, May 21st, over 400 guests attended the 10th Anniversary of “Evening with the Chefs” at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater in support of The Ryan Wells Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to improving the culinary arts and hospitality education of Pinellas County students.
