School Tours/Visits
This is the time of year that parents and families are making academic decisions about their students’ enrollment. To that end, the following guidelines are provided to allow for families to visit and learn about our schools and programs.
PCS encourages all parents/guardians who wish to tour schools in person for the purpose of enrollment and program considerations to contact schools to schedule a visit. Prospective enrolling students may participate in the tour experience. All schools are expected to provide access to their campus for perspective families.
Specific to school tours and informational meetings, the following guidelines are offered:
- Visitors will be required to adhere to Pinellas County Schools’ health and wellness protocols including the wearing of face coverings and social distancing guidelines.
- School tours may be conducted in groups of not more than 10 individuals.
- Tours may move about the campus in a controlled manner that does not disrupt the operation of the school and may be conducted:
- Before school;
- During the school day; or
- After school hours.
- Tours must be pre-arranged according to the school schedule.
- Scheduled tours, inclusive of dates and times, should be posted on school websites and social media outlets.
VOLUNTEERS
- As shared in the February 12 Leadership Update, schools can utilize contracted services or volunteers to assist with spring standardized testing (FSA, AP, IB, etc.) and other specific activities approved by the principal. Volunteers must be cleared through the normal process.
Please contact your Area Superintendent or Chief Transformation Officer if there are questions.
