Good evening Jaguar Nation this is Principal Wilson welcoming you back! I hope you had a wonderful break and are ready for the second half of the school year.  

Next week students will participate in Semester Exams. The exam schedule is attached in my email and located on our school website as a Word document download. There will be adjustments to the lunch times, so if you will be picking your child up early, please be cognizant of the exam schedule as we must limit disruptions to the classrooms during this time. Next week January 11th – 15th will be SPIRIT WEEK for our students.

Monday (January 11th) – Creative Face Mask Day – Wear your favorite or most creative face mask.

Tuesday (January 12th) – Crazy Hair Day

Wednesday (January 13th) – Pajama Day – School Appropriate

Thursday (January 14th) – Vine Day (Must be school appropriate)

Friday (January 15th) – Hat Day

Other Important Dates:

Monday, January 18th –  No School for Students

Tuesday, January 19th No School for Students

(January Monthly Meeting Credit will be announced Monday, January 11th - in the call out).

 

ABSENCES:

If your child will be absent please use the school website to report absences. If your child is scheduled to be Face to Face learning and attends online learning this is counted as an absence. (This does not include those who have been ordered to quarantine by the Department of Health)

 

DISTRICT APPLICATION PROGRAMS - Magnet and Fundamental & Career Academy

Begins Wednesday, Jan. 6 – Jan.15, 2021 

 

Families,

I wanted to inform you that the online application period for magnet, fundamental and career academy programs opens on Wednesday, Jan. 6. 

If you are interested in magnet programs, you can apply for programs for next school year Wednesday, Jan. 6, through 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15.  All applications are assigned a random number, so it does not matter whether you apply early or later during this period. Please give yourself plenty of time in case you have questions during the application process.

To help families apply for application programs, we will be holding several events:

  • A Facebook Live session on how to apply will be held on Jan. 5.
  • Virtual Application Assistance Nights will take place Jan. 6, Jan. 11, Jan. 13, and Jan. 15.

Student Assignment staff will also be available during normal business hours, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
