Principal's Call Out 5/24/2021

Good evening Amazing Jaguar Nation,

Here is your May 24th weekly update for school events and information (This may be the last update for the year):

Just a quick reminder about FSA and EOC testing that is taking place this week.  On Monday and Tuesday (May 24th and 25th) all our online Algebra and Geometry students are scheduled to take their EOC exams.  Any student that missed the math FSA are encouraged to participate in make-ups on Wednesday and Thursday (May 26th and May 27th) beginning at noon each day. 

June 1st at noon will be make-up for the Civics EOC.

June 2nd at noon will be make-up for the 8th Grade Science EOC.

End of the Year Exams in all other classes will be June 3rd – June 8th.  Please see the attached schedule or visit our school website.

Summer Bridge/Summer Credit Recovery Registration is now underway.    Please note that all students will be eligible for both a free breakfast and free lunch all summer long.  All summer bridge programs will be Face to Face. For more information and for the registration forms please check our TMFMS website.

Our language arts classes are reviewing the Fundamental Guidelines for next school year.  The students should bring home the Fundamental Parent Agreement.  Please be sure to review and return for the upcoming school year.  I am attaching a copy in the call out.

Attention parents of students who receive special education services, please make your voice heard and complete the Florida ESE Parent Survey at  The survey closes May 31st

Parent Monthly Meeting

Band Concert tomorrow night beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Theater 2 students have written their own "choose your own ending" virtual productions!  The link for the performance will be located on the school website tomorrow.  This also another way to receive May Parent Meeting Credit.

8th Grade Activities

June 4th – 3:15 – 4:10 p.m. (Yearbook signing in gym) – Katz and Mohesky will organize.  There will be yearbooks available for $40.00 on this day.  We will have autograph books available for a $1.00. 

June 8th – 3:15 – 4:10 p.m. Outside/Field day.  Please dress comfortable.

June 9th – 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Drive thru Celebration of 8th graders in Bus Circle.  See attached map on the flow of traffic for the 8th Grade Parade/Celebration.  If you would like to pick up your child early, please visit the front office beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Option 1:

If you are coming from 34th Street South (US 19) turn west bound onto 18th Street South and proceed to 40th Street South.  Turn South bound onto 40th Street South and continue south to 19th Avenue South (or continue to 41st Street South, turn South bound to 19th Avenue South and turn east bound).  The road curves East bound, continue to entrance of the bus circle.  Turn South bound into the parking lot, continue South bound until directed to stop.

To exit the parking lot, you are required to turn East bound (onto 19th Avenue South) when you exit the parking lot.  The Stop sign is 38th Street South.  At 38th Street you can proceed North or South.

Option 2:

If you are coming from 49th Street South turn East bound onto 18th Avenue South and continue East.  Turn South on 41st Street South or 40th Street South.  Turn East bound onto 19th Avenue South.  Take the curve until you reach the bus circle entrance. 

To exit the parking lot, you are required to turn East bound (onto 19th Avenue South) when you exit the parking lot.  The Stop sign is 38th Street South.  At 38th Street you can proceed North or South.


June 9th is the last day for student’s dismissal time is 2:10 p.m.

Computer Collection

Face to Face Students will turn in their school computers beginning Tuesday, June 8th during school hours.  All computers must be turned in.  Online students can bring their computers in Wednesday, June 9th from 9:40 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  We will also collect computers Monday, June 14th -  Thursday, June 17th from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The same device will be distributed back to students in August.  A new device for 8th grade students going to high school will be distributed in August by their high school.

Please submit all assignments in Canvas, not directly to Ms. Baker
