Through PCS Connects, a one-to-one device initiative, FRESHMEN are eligible to check out and use a Pinellas County Schools laptop for educational purposes while they are enrolled at a Pinellas County Schools public school. If the student leaves Pinellas County Schools to attend homeschool, a charter school, a private school, a school outside Pinellas County public schools or graduates, the laptop will need to be returned to Pinellas County Schools as it is owned by the Pinellas County School Board and not the student.
This laptop will be checked out to your student for use at both home and school. It is the vision of PCSB that they will carry the laptop to school and back home each day to support their academics. Please make sure that the laptop is fully charged each night and that students bring the power cord with them to school each day to plug in the laptop when necessary.
Simply fill out the attached “Parent Student Tech Equipment Receipt and Responsibility Form” (please make sure to include your driver’s license number or state ID number) and bring it to the Media Center to get your new laptop.
