Proctors needed for AP & IB Exams

Parent volunteers, please consider helping us to proctor the AP and IB exams this May.  Please see below for more information and for how to sign up:

Hello to all PHUHS Families!

Each May PHUHS administers the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exams to those motivated students who strive to challenge themselves and earn college credit. This year we will administer

44 exams to approximately 2600 students. Volunteer Exam Proctors are essential to this effort.

Exam Dates are May 6 thru May 24th.

If you are interested in proctoring the 2019 exams, please go to to register.

To sign up, simply check the box next to the test(s) you want to proctor, then fill in your name, email, and phone number at the bottom. Once you click SUBMIT, you are automatically added to the list and will receive an email confirming your selection.

Important: If you have a student or relative taking an exam, please do not signup to proctor that exam. Thank you.

If you know of other parents or volunteers who would be interested in proctoring the exams, please share this information with them. Thanks!

 Exam Proctor Duties

Many people have asked what an exam proctor does. Before the exam, proctors help hand out materials. During the exam, proctors help watch students to make sure there is no cheating and that students follow exam protocol. Proctors may also need to escort students to the restroom. After the exam, proctors help pick up exam materials and may help rearrange the seating or assist in getting the room ready for the next exam.

Exam proctors are volunteers and are NOT expected to administer the exams. There will be school employees in each room who are responsible for administering the exams; the administrator will start and stop the exam and explain exam procedures to the students.

If you have any questions about what is expected as an exam proctor, please contact:
