AP Exam Information for Parents

AP Exam Information:

Please find information regarding testing locations and procedures for the 2018-19 AP Exam administration in the below letter which was also mailed home.

April 2019

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Your child is registered to take an Advanced Placement (AP) exam (s).  Due to the number of students taking these exams, the testing locations are located off site.  The AP exams and their specific testing locations have been listed on the back of this letter for your convenience.  Please note that students must provide their own transportation to the testing locations.  CARPOOLING IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, there is limited parking.

It is the student’s responsibility to arrive on time and at the correct location on the exam date.  Specific room assignments will be listed on the back of this letter and posted on the school website.  Please refer to the “Bulletin for AP Students and Parents 2018-19” that was given to your child for general information/preparation for AP exams. Please remind your child to bring number 2 pencils and pens with black or blue ink to the exam.  Graphing calculators are permitted for the Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB & BC, Physics, and Statistics exams; students must bring their own.  Only 4 function calculators will be provided at the testing site.

Just a few reminders for your child:

WHAT NOT TO BRING INTO THE EXAM ROOM:

  • Cell phones (can bring but must be turned off and out of reach), digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs), Bluetooth-enabled devices, MP3 players, email/messaging devices, smart watches, fitness bands, or any other electronic or communication devices.
  • Books, compasses, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, notes or colored pencils
  • Scratch paper; notes can be made on portions of the exam booklets.
  • Watches that have beeps or alarms
  • Portable listening devices or portable recording devices (even with headphones) or photographic equipment
  • Computers
  • Clothing with subject-related information

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.  If your child has any questions, please email me at Madeja@pcsb.org.
