Final Senior Letter & Graduation Information

Final Senior Letter

 Dear Parents,

Please join the faculty and administration at the graduation ceremonies on Tuesday, May 16th at 7:00pm at Tropicana Field. Students will report to Gate 6 at 6:00pm. Graduation is a solemn time that marks another milestone in your child’s life. We realize that you are very proud of your child’s accomplishments; therefore, pictures will be taken during the ceremony by Grad Images. They will directly contact families for purchasing information. Please read both sides of this letter for frequently asked questions about graduation.

If your child has incurred any financial or textbook obligations, they must be taken care of prior to any senior activity which includes; cap and gown distribution, Senior Dinner, Commemorative Sunday and Graduation.

Cap and Gowns will be distributed on April 19th during school in the gym lobby starting at 9:00am. If senior fees are paid and your child does not have other obligations, they will be able to pick them up that day. Once their senior dues or obligations are paid they can see Mrs. Anderson any time after April 19th. Be advised that they will need them for our Move-Up Assembly on April 26th (this is during the school day).

Our Senior Dinner will be held on April 26th at 6:00pm here in the gym. This is a night for just our seniors and teachers to get together one last time. There will be food from Carrabba’s, a DJ and even a photo booth for the kids.  They should have RSVP’d through their English classes if they are attending. They will be receiving a ticket for the event soon.

Commemorative Sunday will be on May 7th at 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church in downtown St. Pete. The address is 212 Third Street North in St. Petersburg. Students need to report to the Fellowship Hall at 2:00pm dressed in their cap and gowns. We encourage all seniors and their families to attend this event. This is not a religious ceremony; however, it is a nice time of reflection for not only the seniors, but their families as well. Remember, this will be one of the last times they will be together as a class before graduation, and the entire ceremony is led by the students.

There will also be a mandatory Senior Class Meeting on May 11th at 12:15pm in the auditorium. We will be going over graduation details, so it is very important that all seniors attend. If you have any questions, please call me during school hours at 727-893-1842, ext. 2057 or email  I will get back to you as soon as possible.
