SUMMER BRIDGE INFORMATION
Register for Summer Bridge to make sure you are ready to get caught up on credits and testing.
SUMMER BRIDGE EXPECTATIONS:
* Students with excessive absences will be removed from the program
* Students are expected to be on time to their classroom (all classes are face to face on campus)
* Transportation will be provided if students have that need through arterial bus stops.
* It is an opportunity and privilege to attend the Summer Bridge Credit Recovery Program. Students must follow all school rules and policies, as defined by the PCS Code of Student Conduct.
Summer Bridge programs listed below will be offered here at St. Pete High School, Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
See below for the different options for Summer Bridge/Credit Recovery programs for Summer 2023.
• Algebra 1 Course Retake for Credit Recovery- June 5th through 23rd - This course is for current 9th and 10th grade students who have failed all or either semester of Algebra 1 or Algebra 1A.
• Algebra 1 EOC retake Prep- June 26th through July 13th - This program if all current 9th and 10th grade students who fail the Spring 2023 Algebra 1 EOC. Students will sit for the Algebra 1 EOC retakes on 7/12 and 7/13.
• ACT Read/ELA Prep - June 26th through July 13th - This program is for current 10th and 11th graders who need to prepare to pass the ACT Read/ELA test for graduation or any other current 10th/11th graders who would like help to improve their ACT Read/ELA score. Students will have the opportunity to take the ACT on Sat., July 15th at no cost to them. Deadline to register is JUNE 16th so that you can get registered for the ACT.
• ACT Math Prep - June 26th through July 13th- This program is for current 10th and 11th graders who need to prepare to pass the ACT Math test for graduation or any other current 10th/11th graders who would like help to improve their ACT Math score. Students will have the opportunity to take the ACT on Sat., July 15th at no cost to them here at SPHS. Deadline to register is JUNE 16th so that you can get registered for the ACT.
• Credit Recovery (core academic subjects) – May 30th through July 13th This program is for current 9-12 grade students who have failed a core academic course that is required for graduation. Students who need to recover credits use a program called APEX, which allows them to make up failed courses at their own pace, so they can get back on track to graduate.
