Week of Jan. 7

Good afternoon TSHS Learning Community,

Happy New Year!  Hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful holiday break.

Congratulations to TSHS student – Illias Skandaliaris for retrieving the cross at yesterday’s Epiphany celebration in TSHS!

We are looking forward to launching 2nd semester of the 18/19 school year. This semester is filled with a variety of important events and additional information will be included in each week’s newsletter, so all students and families can remain current and up to date.

As a reminder, tomorrow all students will be meeting for a Homeroom period immediately at the start o of the day.  Homeroom assignments will be posted on the school’s administration building windows, gym and cafeteria windows.  In this HR period, discussion will take place regarding available academic support for all students, school safety reminders and for students in 9,10 and 11 grades a review of the PSAT score report information. After HR, all students will be dismissed to report to 1st period and will follow a regular student schedule for the day.

After school tutoring will begin this week as well as APEX credit recovery program for those students needing to resume work from 1st semester.  After grades post on January 11 and report card distribution on January 18, any student who earned a D or F in a course from semester 1 is encouraged to register for APEX.  Students may register any afternoon in the Media Center.
