From the Advanced Studies webpage regarding dual enrollment (https://www.pcsb.org/Page/1558) – note, we are required to communicate the pink language to families and it is just good practice to make sure we have communicated the deadline noted in blue:
REMINDER - THE DEADLINE TO REQUEST A DUAL ENROLLMENT CLASS FOR FALL 2020 SEMESTER IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: THURSDAY, MAY 29TH.
TEMPORARY DUAL ENROLLMENT PLACEMENT INFORMATION:
Per the Florida Department of Education, administration of the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is suspended due to the fact that it is not presently available to all students. In the absence of PERT, SAT and ACT administration, Pinellas County Schools and St. Petersburg College selected the option to use the PSAT/NMSQT for placement into dual enrollment classes. Students who wish to take dual enrollment classes at SPC may use existing PSAT/NMSQT scores to qualify for the courses with a minimum score requirement, which are included in the Approved Course List (see link below) - the PSAT/NMSQT minimum scores are the same as the SAT minimum scores. For courses that lack a minimum score requirement, students must still have a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA.
