Charlie Lane, a senior at Palm Harbor University High, won Best Performance by an Actor at the regional competition for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. He will represent the Straz Center at the national competition.
The Broadway Star of the Future Awards program is the Tampa Bay area regional awards program affiliated with the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards®.
This year, regional judges reviewed 73 productions from 44 high schools, with more than 3,000 participants onstage and behind the scenes.
Charlie will join high school students from 45 venues across the country.
