Not only are our students earning certifications, so are our programs! The gardens in the Food Systems Center at PTC St. Petersburg campus are officially USDA/FDACS Certified! This certification comes on the heels of the waste audit conducted in collaboration with the Food Systems Center and the Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program. By composting, 41 percent of PTC's waste is being diverted from landfills. Additionally, PTC students are now able to harvest fresh produce from our own gardens to prepare delicious meals for our campus community. Now that’s what Farm-to-Table looks like! Congratulations to Nicole Brand, Chefs Cory Ryan and Lennox Preudhomme, the Food Systems Center, and to all the students in the Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program!
