Outstanding school volunteers recognized at board meeting

The 2016-17 Outstanding School Volunteer were recognized Tuesday evening at a regularly scheduled board meeting. The 14 winners represent more than 24,000 volunteers who partner with the district to promote academic achievement. Those volunteers have dedicated more than 2 million hours of volunteer service to the district thus far this school year.
The Outstanding School Volunteers and overall category winners will be honored at a celebration breakfast at 8 a.m., Thursday April 27, 2017 at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater.
The winners are:
Area I:
Youth: Michael Craven – Dunedin Elementary
Adult: Tessa McGrew – Brooker Creek Elementary
Senior: Darlene Peter — Kathleen Lamb – Countryside High
